A younger friend of mine is entering college without a vehicle and wanted to know if there were car loans like student loans, in which payment is deferred until after graduation.

    No, not for a car. Paying a clunker of a car off for 10 years after you graduate or drop out of college is a bad idea anyway. That car will be dead long before the loan is paid off.

    No, sorry there are no auto loans like that. Deferment only applies for student loans.
